You want great SEO? Do not batch your blogs. Top reasons why consistency trumps quantity.

Welcome back to another episode of Brick and Mortar Visibility! I'm your host, Melissa Rose, and today we're diving into the world of SEO and blogging. I recently received a fantastic question from a listener, and I think it's something many of you might be wondering about too. The question was, "Is it better to post five blogs at a time, or stagger them?"

Let's talk about why this matters and how it can impact your SEO.

First off, I want to thank all of you for your amazing questions and engagement. It truly helps shape the content we bring to you, and today's topic is no exception. So, let's get right into it.

"Hi Melissa, I've been working on my blog and I've got five posts ready to go. Should I post them all at once, or should I stagger them over a few weeks? Thanks!"

Great question! To understand the best approach, we need to look at how search engines like Google view content and what they consider when ranking your site.

Why Staggering Blog Posts is Better for SEO

1. Consistency is Key:

Regularly updating your blog signals to search engines that your website is active and consistently providing fresh content. This can help improve your site’s ranking over time. By staggering your posts, you're showing a steady stream of activity.

2. Audience Engagement:

Consistent posting keeps your audience engaged. If you drop all five posts at once, your readers might feel overwhelmed and miss out on valuable content. Spacing out your posts gives your audience time to read, engage, and anticipate your next piece of content.

3. Indexing and Crawling:

Search engines crawl and index your site more frequently if they notice regular updates. Posting all at once might result in only one or two of those posts being fully indexed and ranked at first, whereas staggered posts ensure each one gets proper attention from search engines.

4. Social Media and Promotion:

Staggering posts allows for better promotion. You can share each new post across your social media channels, email newsletters, and other platforms, maximizing visibility and engagement for each piece of content.

So, here’s the game plan. Instead of posting all five blogs at once, schedule them to go live one at a time over several weeks. This approach keeps your site active, your audience engaged, and search engines happy.

Remember, SEO is a long game. Consistency and quality are your best friends. Staggering your blog posts not only helps with search engine ranking but also ensures your audience stays engaged and looks forward to your next post.
